Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Warehouse Manager, Operations Account Managers, Inventory Manager or Supervisor to maintain the integrity of inventory in the warehouse
- Reconcile discrepancies in the cycle counting, physical inventory and production
- Administer cycle count activities; Initiates and controls physical inventory locations including planning, scheduling and controlling move process; Performs audits of warehouse operations
- Work closely with other warehouse personnel and communicates effectively with planners and drivers
- Assist / support inventory manager to prepare any month-end physical inventory count reporting; attend month-end physical count postmortem meetings as required.
- Coordinate inventory Control (IC) rework, investigate all items/SKUS for location and determine appropriate disposition of item
- Oversee the damage/loose open packages of product process and determine product deemed salable. Record and communicate with clients when possible
- Check returns, adjust inventory and advise operations to move stock to picking locations
- Perform empty location checks in WMS, to facilitate assigning locations for new receipts
- Run daily report twice a shift and investigate SKUs with discrepancies actual verses OH-Hand WMS
- Follow up with client on any receiving/vendor’s issues affecting WMS
- Advise, record and update all products and store holds
- Communicate and coordinate any Return to Vendor shipments
- Report bad operating practices to supervisor regarding employee’s not complying to SOP’s
- All other duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma is a must, post-secondary diploma in business or logistics would be preferred
- Experience in an Inventory Control Environment
- Forklift experience required
- Customer Service Oriented, detail-oriented, valuable Organizational skills
- Solid teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of a computerized Warehousing Management System (WMS), Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to be cross trained and meet or exceed deadlines
- Flexible working weekends for inventories as required
- Ability to train or certify on equipment i.e. Order/reach trucks
