We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of irrigation systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for various landscapes.
The Irrigation
Technician will work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the overall health and aesthetics of gardens and outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will be in charge of irrigation aspects of the projects but will also take part in the installation of the full landscape projects.
Duties
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality and efficiency.
- Dig trenches for irrigation lines using hand tools and power tools.
- Build and repair components of irrigation systems as needed.
- Regularly inspect irrigation systems for leaks, clogs, or other issues, performing necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to coordinate irrigation needs for various projects.
- Educate clients on proper irrigation practices and system maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Take part in other landscape construction duties (pavers, sod installation, flagstones, planting..etc)
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to irrigation installation and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.
- Experience in landscape maintenance, with a focus on irrigation practices.
- Ability to dig trenches safely and efficiently for system installation.
- Familiarity with building components necessary for effective irrigation setups.
- Knowledge of gardening principles to support optimal plant health through proper watering techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
