South Edmonton Equipment Manufacturer is looking for welders with pipe experience and a solid work ethic to join our company.
We are non-union fabrication shop operating in a clean and safe environment, with long-term employees and consistent year-round indoor work.
Our company specializes in the design and manufacture of sophisticated mobile well service equipment, and has been a cornerstone of the Alberta energy sector for over 50 years.
We offer Day Shifts only - Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (most weekends off), competitive wages, benefits, vacation pay, excellent work environment, and a growing team of skilled individuals.
Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write fluent English, as well as possess solid mathematical and measurement skills. Specialized tools are provided, but basic hand tools and fitting tools are required.
A strong work ethic combined with a positive attitude are also assets.
These are full-time positions in which employees can be trained and cross-trained, in all aspects of our unique builds.
Requirements:
- Pipe welders must be able to fit pipe and perform weld procedures similar to the B31.3 code. Current B-Pressure ticket not required.
- Experience building and installing truck-mounted equipment.
- Ability to read drawings (3D) and fit components are an asset.
- O/A torch, and plasma experience.
- Operation of hand tools.
- Extensive GMAW & SMAW experience.
- Successfully complete welding and welding-related tasks accurately.
- Shear, bandsaw and overhead crane experience.
- Clean and check welds for flaws.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 40 pounds.
- Self motivation and adaptive thinking are also an asset.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
