Responsibilities

- Install, troubleshoot,



and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units
- Perform advanced diagnostics on heat pumps, ductless systems, and dual fuel systems to identify root causes of equipment failure
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity
- Conduct refrigerant handling, recovery, and recharging in compliance with industry regulations
- Test and calibrate thermostats, controls, and building automation systems for optimal operation
- Commission new systems and verify performance against design specifications
- Communicate clearly with residential and commercial clients, explaining findings and recommended solutions in plain language
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior technicians on best practices and technical skills
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities and repairs performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all tasks

Qualifications

- Red Seal Certificate in Refrigeration (required)
- Driver's License with a clean driving record (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of field experience preferred
- Commercial HVAC service experience is an asset
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and follow established company systems and procedures as part of a cohesive team
