Position Scope
Erect, install and modify structural steel and miscellaneous metal components on industrial projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Read structural drawings and erection plans.
· Rig, hoist, position, connect and bolt structural members.
· Install platforms, stairs, handrail, supports and miscellaneous steel.
· Perform layout, fit-up and field modifications within assigned scope.
· Use fall protection and maintain dropped-object/exclusion-zone controls.
· Inspect rigging and coordinate signals/load control with lifting personnel.
Required Qualifications & Experience
· Recognized Journeyperson Ironworker certification; Red Seal is an asset.
· Industrial structural-steel experience preferred.
· Solid rigging, bolting and working-at-heights experience.
· Ability to read structural drawings.
· Project-required site orientation and safety training.
Preferred / Additional Assets
· Fall protection, aerial-work-platform and rigging training where required.
· CWB tack/welding qualification where applicable to assigned duties.

HSE & Quality Expectations
· Take reasonable care for personal safety and the safety of coworkers and the public; follow ACF and client HSE requirements.
· Participate in orientations, FLHAs, toolbox/pre-job meetings, inspections and competency verification applicable to the assignment.
· Stop and report work when hazards, changing conditions or quality concerns are not adequately controlled.
· Use required PPE and maintain tools/equipment in safe condition.
· Perform work to approved drawings, specifications, procedures and quality requirements; protect material identification and records where applicable.
General Employment Requirements
· Provide proof of applicable trade, apprenticeship, operator, inspection or professional credentials before assignment.
· Maintain project/client-required safety training and site-access credentials. Exact ticket requirements will be confirmed for each assignment.
· Meet applicable fitness-for-duty, PPE and site-access requirements.
· Be capable of safely performing the essential physical duties of the position and working the assigned schedule/environment.
· Maintain reliable attendance, professional conduct and timely communication with supervision.
Pay: $42.00 per hour
