Responsibilities

This is a contract role for a Wellsite Geologist located in Western Canada.

As a Wellsite Geologist, you will monitor and analyze geological data during drilling operations to ensure optimal well placement, with a focus on safety. You will provide real-time interpretations and recommendations based on drill cuttings, well logs,



and other geological information to guide drilling decisions. You will be responsible for preparing detailed reports while maintaining excellent communication with clients to ensure the success of the drilling program.

Qualifications

· Minimum Bachelor's in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field (Technical Diplomas may be considered)

· 0-2 years experience for Junior Geologists or a history in mineral exploration

· Minimum 3 years for Senior Geologists with experience in wellsite geology, remote geosteering, or operations geology

· Robust knowledge of drilling operations, MWD/LWD tools, wireline logging, well placement, and completions operations

· Team-player who can work effectively under pressure with excellent communication skills and a focus on safety

· Expert knowledge of strip log software (WellSight Systems) and MS Office suite. Remote geosteering software (ie. StarSteer) considered an asset

· Valid safety certifications, including H2S, First-Aid, and WHMIS

· Willing to travel to remote locations and work independently
