Selo is looking for an experienced Lead Barista to join our team and help lead our daytime cafe operations.

We're looking for someone confident behind the bar making drinks, who does well in a fast-paced environment and genuinely cares about hospitality. This role is for someone who wants to make excellent coffee while also taking ownership of the details that keep a cafe running smoothly.

As our Lead Barista, you’ll help set the tone for the team, maintaining our standards, supporting other baristas, and making sure every guest receives the warm, thoughtful experience we want Selo to be known for. As we continue to grow our evening wine bar service, we’re also looking to create a stronger connection between our daytime and evening experience. An interest in wine and cocktails, whether you already have knowledge or are excited to learn, is important, as this role will help bridge the two sides of Selo and create a more seamless guest experience from day to night.

What You’ll Do

- Lead daily cafe operations, ensuring high-quality drinks, smooth workflow, and an excellent customer experience
- Train, mentor, and support barista team members to maintain consistency and strong service standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and equipment upkeep to keep everything running efficiently
- Bring positive energy, leadership, and a passion for coffee to create a welcoming and upbeat environment





What We’re Looking For
- Strong barista experience (1-2 years) and confidence working with espresso
- Previous leadership experience or a natural ability to lead and support a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask during busy service
- Reliable, proactive, organized, and comfortable taking initiative
- A genuine interest in hospitality beyond just coffee
- Interest in or willingness to learn about wine and cocktails to help bridge our daytime and evening service and enhance the overall guest experience

Selo is a small team, which means everyone plays an important role. We’re looking for someone who notices what needs to be done, jumps in without being asked, and takes pride in creating a cafe that feels as positive to work in as it does to visit. If you’re passionate about coffee, hospitality, and helping a team grow, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
