Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Level Gauge Lead Hand to coordinate the daily operations of our newly established Level Gauge department. This role is responsible for ensuring production activities are completed according to established schedules, priorities, quality standards, and customer requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate workflow between machining, assembly, testing, and shipping; provide daily leadership and technical support to the Level Gauge Assembly Technicians; monitor production progress and delivery performance; and help resolve operational and quality concerns.

Responsibilities

- Review production schedules, customer orders, work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and material availability to establish priorities.
- Coordinate workflow between machining, assembly, testing, and shipping to support productive production and on-time delivery.
- Monitor production progress, workload distribution, and delivery performance, and address production constraints as required.
- Provide daily supervision and direction to Level Gauge Assembly Technicians, including assigning work and communicating priorities.
- Support employee onboarding, training, development, and workforce planning.
- Provide technical guidance and assist with resolving assembly, production, and quality concerns.
- Verify completed products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, quality standards, and production requirements.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to support production needs.
- Promote a positive, productive, safe, and team-oriented work environment.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, workflow, and production processes.




- Work in accordance with the Company Quality System and Health and Safety Program.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen Events, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum three years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and production schedules.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflow management, and production control principles.
- Strong leadership, team coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize production activities and respond to changing operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in production scheduling, planning, lead hand, supervisory, or team leadership roles.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives or Kaizen Events.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
