Duties

- Assist with cataloging and organizing library materials using specialized databases tailored for Jewish texts and resources Should be proficient in putting on bar codes and organizing our library according to different subjects
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and updating of library inventories
- Support visitors by providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and guiding them in finding materials
- Conduct research and gather data on current acquisitions or community needs to enhance collection relevance
- Facilitate data collection efforts related to library usage, circulation statistics, and user feedback for continuous improvement
- Support the development of bibliographies,



reading lists, and written materials related to Jewish culture and history
- Ensure the proper storage and preservation of rare or sensitive materials through careful handling and organization

Skills

- Proficiency with databases, data entry, and data collection tools to manage library records effectively
- Strong organizational skills to maintain filing systems and oversee inventory control
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with visitors, colleagues, and community members
- Computer skills including familiarity with library management software and basic office applications
- Effective research abilities to locate information efficiently and support educational initiatives
- Writing skills for creating clear labels, descriptions, reports, and bibliographies
- Fast typing skills to facilitate quick data entry and record keeping

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
