Diamonds Medical Clinic is a new, modern family health clinic committed to providing accessible, comprehensive and patient-centred care. Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our growing clinical team in a full-time position. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy family-practice environment and will bring warmth, sound clinical judgment and a genuine commitment to the patient experience.

This position is well suited to an LPN who is adaptable, organized and comfortable taking initiative while working collaboratively with physicians, administrative staff and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome patients and help create a positive, respectful and reassuring clinic experience.
- Complete patient intake, health histories, vital signs and preliminary assessments.
- Provide nursing care within the LPN’s authorized scope of practice and individual competence.
- Administer injections,



immunizations and medications when authorized and appropriately trained.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, suture or staple removal and other clinical procedures as directed.
- Collect and prepare specimens and assist with point-of-care testing.
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor procedures and patient follow-up.
- Support chronic-disease management, preventive care and patient education.
- Monitor and communicate changes in a patient’s condition to the appropriate physician.
- Review and respond to clinical messages, referrals, results and follow-up requirements as assigned.
- Document care accurately and promptly in Accuro EMR.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including the cleaning and disinfection of clinical equipment.
- Maintain exam-room readiness and monitor clinical supplies and medication inventory.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy legislation and DMC policies.
- Contribute to clinic procedures, quality improvement and the development of efficient workflows.
- Provide support to the broader clinical team as operational needs arise.

Qualifications
- Current registration and an active practice permit in good standing with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Education and demonstrated competence appropriate to the clinical duties being performed.




- Previous experience in family practice, primary care, community health or an outpatient medical clinic is preferred.
- Experience with injections, immunizations, wound care and specimen collection is an asset.
- Experience using Accuro or another electronic medical record system is an asset.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
- Reliability, flexibility and enthusiasm for contributing to a developing clinic environment.
- Satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable-sector check, if required.
