Job Summary

Join the Vitality Fuel Bar team as a Line Cook, where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking fresh meals to order in a fast-paced food service environment. You will work directly with menu items including burgers, fish burgers, roasted chicken, roasted fish, steak, wraps, and other Fuel Bar offerings. This role requires strong cooking skills, attention to food quality and safety, and the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook customer orders accurately and efficiently during service
- Cook menu items including burgers, fish, chicken, steak, wraps, and other Fuel Bar offerings
- Follow established recipes, portion standards, and preparation procedures
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality to ensure consistency and food safety
- Prepare ingredients and complete necessary food preparation before and during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking line, preparation areas, equipment, and workstations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Prevent cross-contamination when handling raw meat, poultry, fish, and other ingredients
- Manage multiple orders at the same time while maintaining accuracy and quality




- Assist with receiving, rotating, storing, and monitoring food inventory
- Notify management when ingredients, supplies, or equipment require attention
- Minimize food waste by following proper portioning, storage, and preparation procedures
- Communicate effectively with Fuel Bar staff and other team members to ensure smooth service

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of professional cooking or line cook experience required
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, café, food service operation, or similar kitchen workplace required
- Experience preparing and cooking meat, poultry, and fish is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of food handling, food preparation, cooking temperatures, and kitchen safety
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent portion and presentation standards
- Ability to work efficiently and remain organized during busy service periods
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical kitchen duties
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification is required or must be obtained before starting employment

This position is ideal for an experienced cook who is comfortable working on a food line, managing customer orders, and maintaining consistent quality in a fast-paced environment. Vitality Fuel Bar is looking for someone reliable, organized, and committed to providing well-prepared food and excellent service. Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
