Brothers Lock & Safe is a family owned business founded in 1984, we are seeking someone to join our small team of local locksmiths and provide service all over winnipeg and beyond. We are looking to hire 1 person for in shop duties which will include cutting keys, rekeying locks ,and so much more, and 1-2 dedicated team members to join our road staff - you would be provided a company vehicle for service work

We work standard Daytime hours - Monday - Friday 8-5 PM and Saturdays 9 -1PM

We also provide 24 hour emergency service which goes on a rotating schedule which provides commission.

Job Overview

Join our energetic team as a Locksmith - Shop Technician, where you will play a vital role in providing expert locksmith services within our shop environment. This energetic position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of locking mechanisms, security hardware, and access control systems. You will work with precision and enthusiasm to ensure safety, security, and customer satisfaction.

Your expertise will help us uphold the highest standards of security solutions while fostering a collaborative and motivated workplace.

Duties

- Install, repair, and troubleshoot various locks, safes, and security hardware according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Cut keys accurately using key cutting machines and programming electronic access systems
- Conduct routine maintenance on locking systems to ensure optimal performance
- Assist customers with lockouts, key replacements,



and security consultations in a professional manner
- Maintain detailed records of service work, parts used, and customer interactions for accountability and quality assurance
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet customer deadlines
- Stay updated on the latest locksmith tools, techniques, and security technology advancements

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a locksmith or shop technician with a robust understanding of lock mechanisms and security hardware is an asset
- Ability to operate key cutting machines, lock pick sets, electronic programming tools, and other locksmith equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately
- Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license preferred for onsite service calls (if applicable)
- Certifications such as Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL) or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory
