Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools, then execute effective repairs swiftly.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Assist in installing, upgrading, or replacing mechanical components and machinery as needed.
- Conduct safety checks on all equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols to promote a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks based on operational needs and urgency.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in troubleshooting and repairing machinery or building systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., for various repair tasks.
- Skilled in operating power tools safely and effectively for maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, or diagrams related to mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Prior experience in a maintenance or facilities role is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
