Salary: $92,610 to $115,762 annually, commensurate with skills and experience

Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 4:30PM

London Transit Commission (LTC) keeps the city of London moving, operating a unionized, multi-shift, multi-site transit system. We're hiring a Manager of Facilities to lead the upkeep, safety, and reliability of LTC's buildings and grounds across both operating properties.

Reporting to the Director of Fleet & Facilities, you'll direct the work of the Stationary Engineers, oversee contracted trades and services, and support the Director on facilities budgeting, capital planning, and policy, all while working closely with Fleet and other departments to keep service running smoothly.

What You'll Do

- Provides leadership and direction to the Stationary Engineers in the discharge of building maintenance duties, manages related personnel issues including job performance, attendance, recognition, and recruitment, and technical issues relating to building systems, structures, and grounds at both facilities.
- Lead and schedule the work of the Stationary Engineers across both facilities and the Ticket Office, covering preventative and corrective maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, TSSA, ESA, and MECP environmental requirements, and manage building security systems including access control and alarms
- Oversee outside contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, groundskeeping, snow removal, and capital projects, evaluating performance and recommending contract changes
- Conduct regular inspections of both facilities, identify deficiencies, and coordinate emergency and after-hours response, including on-call coverage




- Provide input to the Director on Capital and Operating budgets, and assist in planning facilities-related capital projects, renovations, and equipment replacement
- Liaise with external consultants and project managers on major capital projects, and maintain accurate records related to building systems, inspections, and regulatory compliance

What You Bring

- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in facilities or building maintenance management, including directing skilled trades in a unionized environment
- Post-secondary education in Facilities Management, Building Environmental Systems, Architectural Technology, Construction Maintenance Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of applicable building, fire, safety, and environmental codes, and licensing requirements for Stationary Engineers and building security systems
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and coaching skills, with strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution abilities
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with computerized maintenance management (work order) systems
- Ability to respond to facilities issues across a 24-hour, multi-shift, multi-site operation, including after-hours and emergency response
