Position: Marketing & Media Coordinator

Employment Type: Full time

Location: GTA / Hybrid

Target Start Date: February–March 2027

Compensation: CAD $45,000–$60,000/year, depending on experience

About Us

We are a growing festival and cultural events organization producing food festivals, night markets and cultural experiences across Ontario.

With a multi-city festival calendar running primarily from May through September, we are looking for a creative, data-driven and highly organized Marketing & Media Coordinator to help grow attendance, strengthen our brands and tell the story of our festivals across digital and traditional media channels.

This position offers a long-term growth path toward Marketing & Media Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Festival Marketing

- Assist in developing marketing campaigns for festivals across multiple Ontario cities.
- Build and maintain marketing timelines for each event.
- Coordinate overlapping campaigns for multiple upcoming festivals.
- Support paid digital advertising campaigns across Meta and other relevant platforms.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with optimization.
- Help grow event attendance, awareness and community engagement.
- Maintain local marketing plans tailored to each festival market.

Social Media & Content
- Manage and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
- Coordinate short-form video, photography, graphics and event content.
- Create or assist with basic graphics and promotional materials using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Develop vendor features, performer features, giveaways, countdowns and festival announcements.
- Capture social content during events when required.




- Maintain an organized photo/video content library.
- Coordinate photographers and videographers for larger events.

Influencer & Community Marketing
- Identify and communicate with local influencers and content creators.
- Maintain an influencer database across our festival markets.
- Coordinate influencer invitations, deliverables and event access.
- Develop relationships with community groups, local media and relevant social pages.
- Identify city-specific promotional opportunities.

Media & Public Relations
- Assist with press releases and media outreach.
- Maintain local media contact lists.
- Coordinate interview opportunities and media attendance.
- Track earned media coverage.
- Support VIP, sponsor and community partner announcements.

Event-Day Media
- Coordinate real-time social media coverage during festivals.
- Ensure key festival experiences, food vendors, performances and cultural programming are captured.
- Coordinate external photographers/videographers when required.
- Ensure sponsor media deliverables are properly captured.
- Produce or coordinate post-event recap content.

What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media, digital media, events or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.




- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager strongly preferred.
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Basic photography and short-form video skills preferred.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with influencers, vendors, media and community partners.
- Highly organized and able to manage several campaigns simultaneously.
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends during festival season.
- Willing to travel to festival locations throughout Ontario.
- Experience in food, festivals, hospitality, entertainment or multicultural marketing is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required, as this role involves communication and coordination with both English- and Chinese-speaking vendors, influencers, community partners and audiences. Additional language skills are an asset.

High-performing candidates will gradually take ownership of complete city campaigns, from initial launch through event weekend and post-event reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
