Duties
- Measure clients accurately to determine garment specifications and fit preferences
- Cut fabric precisely according to patterns and client measurements
- Sew, assemble, and finish garments with meticulous attention to detail
- Alter and repair clothing items to achieve optimal fit and appearance
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on styles and fabrics
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety
- Select appropriate materials and thread to match garment requirements and customer expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a master tailor or in a similar high-level tailoring role
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern making, and fabric properties
- Basic math skills for measurements, sizing adjustments, and pattern calculations
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport and understand client needs
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality
