Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble industrial hydraulic, pneumatic, suction, discharge and specialty hose assemblies.
- Identify, measure, cut and prepare industrial hoses for assembly.
- Install and connect fittings, couplings, adapters and related mechanical components.
- Operate specialized hose assembly equipment, including crimping machinery, cutting equipment, presses and testing equipment.
- Position, align and adjust components to ensure proper fit and assembly.
- Read and interpret hose specifications, measurements, component information and work instructions.
- Select appropriate hose, fittings and assembly components based on application requirements.
- Perform pressure testing and inspection of completed hose assemblies where required.
- Inspect finished assemblies for dimensions, fitting installation, crimping, routing, cleanliness and overall quality.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair and rebuild industrial hose assemblies.
- Prepare completed products for delivery, including tagging, identification, packaging and documentation.
- Assist with inventory control and organization of hose, fittings and workshop materials.
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of workshop equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.
- Assist with general fabrication, material handling and other workshop activities as required.
- Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications and applicable workplace requirements.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job requirements, materials and production issues.
Skills Requirements – Education and Experience
Education:
- Completion of secondary school is preferred.
- Relevant technical training or education in mechanical, industrial, hydraulic, manufacturing or a related field is considered an asset.
- Equivalent practical training and experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, industrial hose assembly, hydraulic systems, industrial maintenance, fabrication or a related field is an asset.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and mechanical workshop equipment is an asset.
- Experience with industrial hose, hydraulic or pneumatic systems is considered an asset.
- Experience reading measurements, technical specifications and work instructions is considered an asset.
- Training will be provided on company-specific equipment, procedures and specialized hose assembly requirements.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn specialized assembly procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to safely handle industrial hose, fittings and workshop materials.
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
