- Is passionate about helping students learn and grow at our learning centre.
- Is highly responsible and committed to supporting students’ academic progress.
- Is very familiar with the Ontario high school English curriculum and is also willing to teach younger students English.
- Graduates from a Canadian university are preferred.
- Has a degree in Math and Science field.
- Track student progress regularly and communicate improvements or challenges to parents or guardians
- Create a positive, encouraging environment that builds confidence and promotes active participation in learning
- Collaborate with classroom teachers or school staff when necessary to align tutoring goals with curriculum standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children or in an educational setting, preferably with classroom or tutoring experience
- Strong knowledge of math and science subjects,
including advanced topics like computer science or computer skills
- Passion for teaching and helping students succeed academically
- Excellent communication skills to explain concepts clearly and motivate learners
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning needs, including special education students
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and software used for tutoring or classroom instruction
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching math and science is highly desirable
