Atlas Dewatering Corporation, established in 1946, has well over eighty years of experience in the construction industry and is a leader in construction dewatering and environmental groundwater/surface water management. Atlas also specializes in bypass pumping systems, providing pump rentals, sales and service. Summary of Function
Atlas Dewatering Corporation is seeking a full time, experienced technician with knowledge to maintain our centrifugal diesel and electric/hydraulic submersible pump fleet. The person in this role must have the ability to perform diagnosis, service/maintenance and repairs on diesel engines while ensuring high service standards.
Experience with pumps, pump ends and related equipment is desired. Our successful candidate will be team oriented while demonstrating a commitment to innovation and ongoing strategic improvement. The health and safety of employees, clients and property is a key aspect of this job.
Responsibilities
· Maintain a diverse fleet of pumping equipment in the shop and field
· Perform regular maintenance and servicing on equipment in the rental fleet to ensure product reliability.
· Assist with inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment including (but not limited to) pumps, skid steer, forklifts etc.
· Perform inspections of fleet equipment for possible damages and report and document damages accordingly.
· Test all equipment prior to releasing from yard.
· Local travel to job sites and customers as required
· Equipment set-up and installation on job sites as required
· Complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
· Conduct warranty work on Atlas owned and customer owned equipment.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
· Minimum of one year of mechanical work experience, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment
· Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or Truck and Coach (421A or 310T) license is an asset, but not required
· Valid G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract
· Flexibility; must be comfortable with adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment and with changing between the shop and field environments
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner
· Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with a team
