Medical Clinic Assistant (Cardiology Technologist Assistant)
Rainbow Medical Centre is seeking a dependable and organized Medical Clinic Assistant (internal position title: Cardiology Technologist Assistant) to support physicians, the Registered Cardiology Technologist, and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
This is a permanent, full time, in-person position at our Calgary medical clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and clinic procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with appropriate patient positioning.
- Set up and dismantle equipment used in the clinic.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain equipment and supplies in accordance with established clinic procedures.
- Record patient vital signs as required.
- Collect and record patient demographic information and other relevant patient information.
- Provide patients with appropriate instructions related to clinic procedures and equipment, as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain adequate supplies and inventory of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow established emergency, safety, infection prevention and control procedures.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Perform other related healthcare support duties within the employee's training and assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a medical clinic, healthcare or related environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced clinical environment.
- Dependable,
accurate and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- First Aid and CPR certification required.
Employment Details
- Permanent, full-time employment.
- 32 hours per week.
- Wage: $38.00 per hour.
- Work location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work must be performed in person.
