Holy Cross is seeking individuals to work in our quick paced, patient focused specialist clinic as a Medical Office Assistant. The successful candidates will be a certified Medical Office Assistants and have previous experience in or a willingness to learn the specifics of optic or ENT healthcare.
Responsibilities include
- Coordinating patient care
- Scheduling appointments, managing incoming referrals and test results
- Manage medical records
- Schedule appointments including: patient visits, testing, follow-ups, health checks, emergencies
- Respond to patient inquiries
- Greeting, checking-in patients, health card verification
- Maintain inventory of supplies
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation to deliver high quality results
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate consistent initiative and a team attitude
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment
- Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
