Medical Office Assistant
WELL Health Diagnostic Centres (previously C-health) is looking for a Medical Office Assistant to support our physicians and other healthcare professionals by performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Reporting to: Manager, Administrative Services
Responsibilities:
- Ensure patients are acknowledged and greeted in a timely and professional manner, both on the telephone and upon arrival to or when leaving the clinic.
- Promptly determine reason for visit.
- Ensure that all patient demographics are confirmed and updated in the current EMR system upon patient arrival to the clinic.
- Ensure attending physician is updated.
- Update the electronic status of all patients.
- Oversee patients in the waiting room, report any patients in medical distress. Provide administrative support in any medical emergency.
- Enter finalized reports into the EMR system with accurate patient matching.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy and documentation policies.
- Communicate with physicians/team members when clarification or additional information is required.
- Ensure waiting areas are kept clean and orderly.
- Report any building issues to manager.
- Ensure site and assets are secure and locked at end of day.
- Ensure safe, clean work environment.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- 0-2 years of related experience in medical office setting.
- Current CPR certificate and AED, an asset.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
- Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
- A cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as the ability to work independently and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.

Final compensation is determined based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
