Metal Shop Labourer/Grinder

Code Electric is looking for experienced sheet metal grinders for our day shift and afternoon shift position. These candidates will ideally have experience in the sheet metal and manufacturing industry. We are also willing to train the right individuals who show they have a positive attitude and pay attention to detail. There will also be training in other various areas of the shop.

CODE Electric Ltd is a B.C. owned CSA Manufacturer with over 47 years of experience in metal electrical enclosures, power distribution kiosks, custom wired products, custom metal fabrication, cable tray, and commercial metal planters. Our location enjoys amazing views of the River in Port Coquitlam, beautiful walking trails at our front door, big box stores steps away, on transit route, local brew pubs, fitness centres and restaurants all within walking distance so makes it a great location to work.

Position for Dayshift is Monday to Friday – 7AM to 3:30PM

Position for Evening shift is Monday to Thursday – 3:30PM to 1:30AM. Evening shift also adds the benefit of an extra shift difference hourly and a paid lunch.

Duties include:

- Metal Grinding and Preparing for paint
- Assisting in Power Coat area -- hanging product on racks
- Assisting in production area
- Using saws and other power tools
- Assist with packaging products for shipping
- Labeling goods
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
- Excellent English Skills both verbal and written
- Positive can do attitude and reliability are key
