Job Overview

I am looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner who is interested in joining me to support a comprehensive family medicine practice in North Bay. This position is a unique chance to choose your own hours, customize your practice and work independently in a kind and supportive group office environment with nursing and administrative support on site. I am hoping to find an independent contractor who is available to provide direct patient care for 1 to 2 days per week (can be split into half days as desired) for a shared roster of patients in my established family medicine practice.

Duties

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations for individuals across all ages.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Manage case documentation efficiently using electronic health record systems (PS Suite) to ensure accurate patient records.
- Coordinate with laboratories for testing and review results to inform clinical decisions.
- Review clinical cases with Dr Giordano as needed

Requirements

- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of primary care guidelines,



common outpatient presentations and indications for escalation of care.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration, capacity to accept feedback.
- Ability to take responsibility for patient care while seeking help as needed.
- Interest in working as an independent contractor.
- Strong values of integrity, honesty, and open communication within the care team.
- Ability to maintain compassionate, caring and respectful relationships with patients, staff and co-workers.
- Willingness to support patient autonomy and shared decision making while maintaining appropriate boundaries around tests and prescribing.
- Experience working with diverse populations in a community setting is an asset.
