The Operations Manager will oversee the concrete operations at our CBS location with a primary focus on efficient and effective processes. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with an appetite for growth.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and motivate operations team with focus on safety, environment, quality, and production.

· Manage Concrete Operations in CBS - duties include but not limited to, coordination, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, tracking market analysis, production monitoring for the construction, concrete & precast field operations and reporting division health to Company Shareholders.

· Develop and maintain communication with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are effectively and efficiently managing projects, and meeting schedule and budget targets.

· Make recommendations for continual improvement by having a clear understanding of project objectives, client expectations, and company growth strategy.

· Monitor equipment, personnel, schedules, and other project controls to ensure we are effectively managing our assets and meeting or exceeding project budgets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a progressive leadership capacity.

· Degree or diploma in civil engineering / civil technology, or other relevant technical programs would be considered an asset.

· Strong business focus, and familiar with developing, implementing,



and leading strategic development and growth in all our operations.

· Foster positive relationships with all Clients & Customers by providing support and guidance, product/process information, investigating problems, and assisting in the development of solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

· Identify and present new business opportunities, engage appropriate internal resources to execute and deliver on these opportunities.

· Working experience/knowledge in concrete, bridge/structures, marine, earthworks, hydroelectric & wind development in Heavy Civil/Mining/Transportation/Power Generation will be preferred to service these sectors of construction industry.

· Experience in running a ready mix and precast operational division would be a definite asset.

· Superior communication skills (written and spoken), strong interpersonal skills, and a team player.

· The ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance while providing guidance and motivation.

· Have practical, innovative, and “out of the box” thinking & problem-solving capabilities.

· A solid core safety value and approach.

· Solid understanding of cost control and budget management. Ability to evaluate job costs, schedules for accuracy and efficiency.

· Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and the ability to work in Microsoft Project and construction management/estimating software (Bid2Win) would be an asset

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
