Pay Rate: $35.00+ / hour (Commensurate with experience)

Location: Hybrid / Winnipeg, MB (Travel with paid expenses)

About the Role

MUM Collective is a Canadian startup building a women-focused transportation and economic opportunity platform. We are seeking an experienced, startup-minded operations leader to help take MUM Collective from launch stage into a scalable, high-performing enterprise.

This role is designed for a proven builder and operator—someone who thrives when creating structure out of ambiguity and connecting key operational layers:

You will work directly with the founders to establish operational infrastructure, oversee team performance, manage vendor relationships, and drive platform execution.

Startup Experience Is Essential

We need an operator who understands the unique environment of a early-stage or rapidly growing company. You do not need to have been a CEO, but you must know how to:

Build scalable systems from the ground up with lean resources.

Wear multiple operational hats and make decisive, independent choices.

Solve complex problems proactively without waiting for external direction.

Build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams as operations scale.

Qualifications & Experience

7+ years of progressive management, operations, or business leadership experience.

Demonstrated success in process development, KPI management, budgeting, and team leadership.





High adaptability and comfort navigating rapid growth, change, and ambiguity.

Startup / Scale-up Operations

Mobility, Transportation, or Fleet Management

Automotive / Dealership Operations

Logistics, Supply Chain, or Technology

Retail, Hospitality, or Multi-Location Operations

Core Competencies

Operations & Systems: Process engineering, vendor management, workflow optimization.

Financial & KPI Management: Budgeting, unit economics, performance metrics tracking.

Leadership & Execution: Team building, strategic problem-solving, independent execution.

Career Progression & Contract Structure

Startup Operations Manager —> Chief Operations Officer —> President

Engagement Terms: Initial contract engagement (fractional or part-time) with direct potential to transition into a full-time executive leadership position as the platform expands.

Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 /hour on a contract basis. (Wage is dependent on experience)

Work Setup: Hybrid mode with local Winnipeg operational oversight; travel expenses fully covered.
