Do you love babies? Do you have a background in, or desire to work with, new families? Are you a trained postpartum doula OR willing to undertake training through a recognized doula training organization?

Postpartum doula work is perfect for nannies, nurses or nursing students, midwifery students and hopefuls, foreign-trained nurses and midwives, ECE’s, and anyone who loves supporting families in their choices. All candidates should have a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.

Toronto Family Doulas is looking for candidates who are dynamic and empathetic and are experienced connecting with clients to build trusting relationships. We are looking for those with both day and nighttime availability. Candidates must be trained prior to beginning work with clients. Trained doulas must be able to provide proof of training and current insurance.

Doula training is at the individual's expense.

Job Tasks

- infant care: feeding, burping, changing, bathing, etc.
- light housework: washing bottles, laundry, etc.
- information/education to new parents: breastfeeding support, community resources, etc.

Doulas work directly in client homes.
