Eascan Automation

Winnipeg

Eascan Automation has been designing and building custom automation, robotics and control systems in Winnipeg since 1992. The machines we build did not exist until a customer described a problem. As of 2026 we are employee-owned. We are hiring a Panel Builder for our shop at 885 Wall Street.

Previous experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train a reliable candidate who shows strong practical ability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

The role

You will assemble and wire the electrical control panels that go inside our automation systems. That means working from drawings: mounting components, running wire duct and DIN rail, wiring and labelling, then checking your own work before it leaves the bench. The panels you build end up in robotic cells, filling machines and production lines at customers across Canada and the United States. This is a hands-on shop position on our controls and automation team.

What you will do

- Assemble electrical control panels from drawings and instructions.
- Mount electrical components, wire duct, DIN rail and other panel hardware.
- Wire and label components accurately.
- Read and follow electrical drawings and panel layouts.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and workmanship.
- Assist with testing and correcting wiring issues.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Help receive, organize and manage panel-building materials.
- Follow established quality-control and safety procedures.
- Assist with other related shop tasks when required.

What you bring

- Comfort working with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail. A panel is only as good as the one wire nobody checked.
- Good mechanical and practical aptitude.
- The ability to follow drawings, instructions and established procedures.
- Organized, dependable and safety-conscious.

- Willingness to ask questions and learn new skills.
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a small team.

Nice to have, not required

- Some experience with control-panel wiring, electrical assembly, manufacturing or similar hands-on technical work.
- Basic computer skills.

Pay and benefits

- $20 to $26 per hour depending on experience.
- $2,500 Health Spending Account every year.
- Health benefits plan including vision and dental, premiums shared equally.
- A total 4% retirement match, split between a DPSP and an RPSP.
- Vacation and paid personal days.
- Company-paid training and certifications.
- Monthly phone allowance, online health and wellness support, company memberships and discounts.
- Parking at the door, sports outings, socials and family barbecues.

Training and support from experienced team members, a steady hands-on role in industrial automation, and competency-based opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement.

Good to know

This is a permanent, full-time, in person position at our shop on Wall Street in Winnipeg. The shop is a working setting, so expect some noise, dust and temperatures that change with the season. Immigrants with a valid work permit or permanent residency are welcome to apply. We cannot sponsor visas at this time, so you must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

How we hire A Teams call, then a shop visit to see the floor and the people you would work with. You will meet the department manager and the CEO. That is who decides, so that is who you talk to.

Eascan Automation Inc. appreciates all applications. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
