Revive Painting and Wall Coverings Inc. is seeking an experienced and reliable Painter to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Position Details

Position: Painter

NOC: 73112 – Painters and decorators (except interior decorators)

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wage: $23.00-26.00 per hour, based on qualifications

Pay frequency: Bi-weekly by direct deposit

Job Duties The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Preparing and cleaning interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding and removing old paint or wallpaper.
- Repairing cracks, holes and other surface imperfections and applying sealers as required.
- Mixing and preparing paints and other finishing materials to achieve the required colour and texture.
- Applying paint, stains, lacquer, enamel, varnish and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Measuring, cutting and applying wallpaper and other wall coverings.
- Reading specifications and determining the materials required for each project.
- Setting up and safely using scaffolding, swing stages and other required equipment.
- Maintaining high-quality workmanship and completing assigned work efficiently and according to project schedules.
- Keeping tools, equipment and work areas clean, organized and in secure working condition.
- Communicating professionally with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
- Following workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a painter is required.




- Practical experience with surface preparation, painting and finishing techniques.
- Experience using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Experience with wallpaper or other wall coverings is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions, specifications and project schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to perform physical work and work safely at heights.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle are required.
- Steel-toe work boots are required.

Working Conditions The position involves interior and exterior painting work and may include residential and commercial projects.

The successful candidate must be comfortable with physical work, standing for extended periods, working at heights and working in varying weather conditions.

Occasional overtime and Saturday work may be required depending on project needs.

Major tools and equipment required for the position are provided by the employer.

Compensation

- $23.00-26.00 per hour
