The Sugar Post is a new pick-and-mix candy shop opening this fall in Toronto's Distillery District. We're a small, independent store being built from the ground up, and we're looking for a part-time retail manager who's excited to help get it off the ground alongside the owner.

Schedule: Afternoons and weekends (specific hours to be finalized together)

What you'll do

- Help with hiring and building out the floor team

- Manage staff scheduling
- Run day-to-day floor operations — customer service, running the POS system , stocking, and keeping the shop running smoothly
- Create seasonal displays and merchandising that keep the shop feeling fresh throughout the year
- Gift wrap customer purchases to a high standard
- Work closely with the owner to help shape how the store runs day-to-day as we get established
- Take on responsibility and help solve problems as they come up — this is a hands-on,

What we're looking for
- Previous retail experience; management or supervisory experience a plus
- Skilled at creating seasonal displays and gift wrapping — required
- Comfortable working in a startup environment where processes are still being built, and things change quickly
- Reliable, organized, and a strong communicator
- Available for afternoon and weekend shifts
- Genuine interest in customer experience and being part of a new small business
