Maven Lane is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistants (ECEAs) to join our School Age and Supported Child Development teams. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding school-age children through their daily routines, fostering an environment that encourages intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm.
- Full-day shifts: Required during Pro-D days, Spring Break, and Summer Break.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Guidance & Supervision: Supervise and assist children in daily activities, ensuring a safe, warm, and joyful experience.
- Transportation: Ride the Maven Lane bus to supervise children during their commute from school to our facility.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Program Facilitator and team members to create learning environments focused on emergent curriculum.
- Health & Safety:
Maintain awareness of medical and developmental histories; observe children for signs of ill health or emotional distress; administer first aid and medication as required.
- Relationship Building: Maintain open, professional, and cooperative relationships with families to encourage program involvement.
- Facility Care: Ensure the room remains clean, orderly, and conducive to learning; assist with housekeeping and equipment upkeep.
- Professionalism: Adhere to the ECEBC Code of Ethics and Maven Lane policies; attend regular staff meetings and annual Society celebrations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current ECEA Certificate or Responsible Adult Certificate (required).
- First Aid: Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate.
- Communication: Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Persona: A positive, proactive, and professional attitude with a adaptable work ethic.
- Values: A strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to inclusive childcare practices.
