Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with medical orders and pharmacy protocols
- Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication use, potential interactions, and side effects
- Ensure proper medication storage, labeling, and documentation to maintain safety standards
- Collaborate with medical teams to develop and review patient-specific medication plans
- Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting dosages as necessary under physician supervision
- Educate patients on medication administration, adherence,
and health management strategies
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions dispensed, inventory levels, and regulatory compliance
Experience
- Proven hospital experience working as a Pharmacist in an acute care setting
- Experience with pediatric medication management and patient care is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and medication administration procedures
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing multiple responsibilities
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and regulatory requirements governing medication dispensing
