As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for accurately laying pipes, ensuring proper alignment, and supporting the installation of utility systems.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to excavate trenches and position pipes accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and secure piping components
- Install pipes using welding techniques where necessary, ensuring all joints are secure and meet safety standards
- Manage low voltage electrical connections related to piping systems when applicable
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment including excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks,



and welding tools to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site preparation by trenching, backfilling, and compacting soil around installed pipes
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members

Qualifications

- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation and pipe installation
- Experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy machinery required for trenching and pipe placement
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and welding techniques
- Electrical experience or familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Solid physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating large vehicles preferred
