We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Plant Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all non-production areas of our facility. This role also includes responsibility for laundering personal protective equipment (PPE) used throughout the plant. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace in a food production setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning & Sanitation

- Clean and sanitize non-production areas, including offices, hallways, washrooms, lunchroom, laundry room, stairwells, common areas, and outside trailer.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces as required.

Laundry & PPE Handling

- Wash, dry, fold, and organize PPE (e.g., smocks, gloves, etc.).
- Monitor inventory of clean garments and report shortages.

General Maintenance & Support

- Empty garbage and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
- Restock supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, PPE, etc.).




- Identify and report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, damaged fixtures).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in a food facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred (industrial or food facility experience is an asset).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
- Reliable and punctual.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
