Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily care of poultry, including feeding, watering, and monitoring bird health.
- Perform cleaning duties around the poultry houses and farm facilities to maintain hygiene standards.
- Support the handling and transportation of poultry using farm machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of poultry housing systems, ensuring proper ventilation, lighting, and temperature control.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks such as moving feed bags, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of bird health, feed consumption, and other essential farm data.
- Follow safety protocols diligently when operating farm machinery and handling animals to prevent accidents or injuries.
Experience
- Previous experience working on a farm or with livestock
- Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful for understanding farm machinery operation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout shifts.
- Familiarity with farm machinery such as feeders, waterers, or ventilation systems is a plus.
