We are looking for a Full-Time Processing Machine Operator to join our dynamic team at Trophy Foods. This position is for an existing vacancy and offers the opportunity to:

Overview:The Processing Machine Operator prepares and processes Trophy products through oil cooking, dry roasting, blanching, or candy coating. Shift: Night Shift (11:00PM to 7:00AM).
Rate: $21.12 (Plus $1.00/hour night shift premium).
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Check that equipment is in working order and there are no safety concerns.
· Check Work Order to determine variety and quantity of products to produce.
· Prepare and set equipment up for daily operations.
· Ensure product and ingredients are measured and dumped into the appropriate machine.
· Monitor machines and products during process to ensure quality and specifications are maintained.
· Safely dump prepared products onto cooling tables.
· Assist in the dispersing process to cool minimize damage to product.
· Clean and inspect bins, then transfer finished products to bins. Check for correct weight and product with Material Handler.
· Work with Heavy General Labourers and give operational support to coworkers in the same work area.
· Accurately completes all paperwork.
· Clean work area; equipment, floor, steps, tools etc. at changeover, at end of shift or as required to maintain standards.
· Follow HACCP procedures. Complete all forms and records as set out by HACCP, Trophy Foods Inc.
· Comply with the company's health & safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of PPE, GHS, Lockout etc.
· Other duties, responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:
· High school diploma or post-secondary diploma or;
· Two to three years’ related experience as a machine operator.
· Equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to use power jack is an asset.
· Basic knowledge of computers is an asset.
Physical Effort:
· Almost continuously engaged in one or more physical activities simultaneously.
o E.g. Standing, walking, lifting, climbing stairs (Blanching and Roasting areas only), and carrying heavy objects that weigh around 13-25kg or more, reaching hands and arms.
· Frequent requirement to lift heavy objects, see different colours, use hands and fingers to touch, handle, or feel and to push and pull products while hot.
· Occasionally required to push large wheeled bins weighing 1200-1300 kg when filled with product, without the assistance of a Material Handler.
Work Environment:
· Almost constant exposure to factors such as extreme temperatures of 38-44⁰C, humidity, noise level over 85dB and moisture which will cause frequent periods of discomfort.
· There is regular exposure to factors (such as height of 4-10m in Roasting and Blanching areas) which carry an extreme risk of accident or illness which cannot be eliminated from the job.
Sensory Attention:
· Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses used in co-ordination to ensure the product is prepared according to recipe.
· Ability to apply common sense to problems involving mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, and dividing and written or oral instructions.
Mental Stress:
· Work and workplace are very repetitious/unchanging.
· There is noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
· Bullying or harassment in any form will not be tolerated. Speak with a supervisor if the work or the environment is causing mental stress.
