Product Quality Assurance Leader (aka. Quality Improvement Technologist or Engineer)

This role drives proactive Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement efforts at Lubecore. This includes implementing and managing systems such as formal vendor certification procedures, statistical process control (SPC), design for manufacturing, and automation of product testing.

The person who fills this role will work closely with the Product Management and Manufacturing / Assembly teams to implement these systems and deliver continuous improvements in product quality and customer satisfaction as a result.

Job duties

Here are some examples of the main activities and tasks that the Quality Improvement Leader / Technologist / Engineer will perform:

· Analyze the Cost of Poor Quality and develop plans to improve it

· Develop and Implement Quality performance measures and evaluation systems

· Investigate Quality problems and work with the manufacturing team to find root causes and implement effective corrective actions.

· Conduct statistical capability studies of the performance of manufacturing and production processes. Use this information to guide and track process control and improvement efforts.

· Establish practices / procedures that will enhance quality control in our manufacturing processes.

· Collect product and design information such as dimensional analysis, fit and function, tolerance stack-ups, etc. and use that information to improve “Design for Manufacturing” of Lubecore products.

· Operate and maintain CMM, gauges, checking fixtures, etc.

· Report weekly and monthly on quality issues, corrective actions, and key quality measures.

Standard work week: On site, 40 hours per week.

Physical demands

Sitting , Standing, Walking in a manufacturing environment with automated CNC machines and assembly machines. Also work in an office environment.

Compensation





Salary range between $50,000.00 and $75,000.00 commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
