Closing Date: November 1, 2026Position Type: Non Permanent Compensation: $21.19-$24.57/hrWork Location: On-site We have an exciting casual/on-call opportunity for a highly motivated Sport and Fitness Programs Leader to join our Recreation & Programs team.

Reporting to the Programs Team Leader, a Programs Leader - Sport and Fitness will provide casual/on-call support for the delivery of safe, inclusive, and engaging recreation experiences across a variety of program for participants of all ages. Program areas may include skating, basketball, soccer, badminton, group fitness, wellness, coaching, active living opportunities, and more. Hours will vary based on program needs, staff coverage, and seasonal demand.

What you Bring

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Casual/on-call roles require flexibility, reliability, and the ability to step into programs as operational needs arise. A typical way to qualify is equivalency to:

- Education, certification, or training in sport, recreation, kinesiology, fitness leadership, group fitness, coaching, physical literacy, or a related field would be considered an asset.
- High school diploma.
- Previous related experience leading sport, group fitness, coaching, recreation, or active living programs for children, youth, adults, or community groups.
- Intermediate first aid certification is required
