Summary
We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team at Musqueam Capital Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial aspects of various projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our mission of sustainable economic development within the Musqueam community.
Responsibilities
- Manage project accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial data and reports.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project expenditures and financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project accounting or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial auditing and corporate finance principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with PeopleSoft is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
