Senior SAP S/4HANA Project Manager

Location: Montreal / Remote within Quebec or Ontario

Contract: Until January 31, 2027, with potential for renewal

Hours: 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to lead a major SAP platform upgrade. This is a senior-level prospect within a large, complex and highly regulated organization, working with multiple internal teams, SAP specialists, external partners and vendors.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of an SAP S/4HANA upgrade , from planning and preparation through testing, cutover, go-live and post-production stabilization.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead the planning and delivery of an SAP S/4HANA version upgrade .
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and resource plans.
- Manage project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies ( RAID ).
- Lead the project using SAP Activate methodology and established governance standards.
- Coordinate activities across SAP, BASIS, IT, business, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams.
- Manage multiple external vendors, consultants and implementation partners.
- Coordinate large-scale integration, regression, validation and performance testing .
- Develop and manage cutover and go-live plans .
- Manage change control and ensure business continuity throughout the upgrade.
- Track project scope, schedule, budget, risks and overall delivery.
- Provide regular project reporting and presentations to senior leadership .




- Coordinate change management, training and project documentation.
- Lead post-go-live stabilization and hypercare activities.

What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of SAP Project Management experience.
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects .
- Ideally, experience upgrading from S/4HANA 2020/2021 to 2023 or a newer release .
- Strong knowledge of SAP Activate .
- Significant experience within Supply Chain and Manufacturing environments.
- Experience delivering SAP projects in highly regulated organizations .
- Experience working within large organizations of 10,000+ employees .
- Strong experience coordinating multiple vendors and implementation partners .
- Experience managing large, global SAP programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong experience managing testing, cutover, production deployment and release activities .
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Nice to Have Experience with SAP custom code remediation during an upgrade, SAP BASIS and SAP architecture, large-scale testing programs, and post-go-live/hypercare would be valuable. PMP, PRINCE2 or relevant SAP certifications are also considered assets.

This role is best suited to a senior SAP Project Manager who has personally led complex S/4HANA upgrades from planning through production and stabilization , rather than someone whose experience has primarily been general SAP implementation support.
