Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate
Education Required:
B.Sc. in chemistry or related Science with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Associate in a Chemical process/ pharmaceutical industry or in commercial laboratory.
Other Requirements:
- Good working knowledge of analytical technologies for inorganic elements
- Strong computer knowledge, skills, proficient in Excel, detail-orientated and motivated
- Ability to multitask and to meet deadlines
- Ability to perform under pressure to achieve turnaround requirements
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and prioritizing skills
- Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to give suggestions and act on the next plausible step when problems arise
- Ability to work well independently and with others
- Ability to travel (i.e. domestic)
- Knowledge in ISO 17025, 9001 or laboratory testing environments
- An understanding of GMP with prior QA and /or laboratory experience is an asset
- Problem solver, analytical thinker, resourceful and logical
- Establish effective working relationships and manage conflict constructively/positively
- Knowledge of good laboratory safety practices
Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following; or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the Quality Assurance Manager.
1. Investigate and follow up on non-conformances and complaints with Technical Operation departments to deliver effective technical and quality corrective measures and perform quality approval.
2. Assist in the performance of Internal Audits (Ancaster and other Canadian), customer audits and regulatory audits
3. Maintenance of documentation to ensure conformity with regulatory requirements.
4. Review and input on standard operating procedures (SOPs)
5.
Review analytical data and protocols for standard qualifications and method validation protocols for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Contribute in a continuous improvement activity by providing status report
7. Assist in Performing Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks and audits of GLP studies.
8. Review training record
