Job Summary

QFC is looking for someone who has INFANT/TODDLER experience. The classroom is not suited for those without experience in these age groups (in group childcare). The toddler room can be fast paced and requires someone who is flexible, nurturing and fun-loving.

Duties

- Provide high-quality care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and progress
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and program policies diligently
- Document children's development milestones, daily routines, and any concerns accurately
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in team meetings to improve program quality

Skills

- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset for bilingual communication
- Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and special education strategies




- Experience working with children aged 0 to 2 years, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead engaging activities tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members
- Proficient in computer operation and documentation software for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership qualities to support team collaboration and mentorship when needed
- Writing skills necessary for accurate documentation of developmental progress and incident reports
