We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care in a warm, family-friendly practice setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings
- Provide thorough scaling, root planing, and polishing for patients of all ages
- Take and process dental X-rays as required
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and dental sealants
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and personalized home care routines
- Document patient records accurately and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with dentists and the clinical team to develop and support treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe treatment environment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Build strong, trusting relationships with patients to support long-term oral health
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists (ACDH)
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Tracker, OpenDental, or similar) is an asset
