About the Role
Join our dynamic trauma and emergency care team in a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department, where every second counts and rapid assessment, quick clinical decision-making, and immediate interventions save lives. In this critical frontline role, you will triage presenting patients, manage complex resuscitations, and deliver compassionate, rapid-response care to individuals facing acute medical emergencies.
Working closely alongside emergency physicians, trauma teams, and interprofessional healthcare staff, you will excel in an environment that values rapid adaptability, strong clinical intuition, and teamwork under pressure. Beyond emergency stabilization, you will advocate for patient safety, deliver vital patient and family education during critical moments, and ensure seamless continuity of care.

Job Requirements
Must-Haves
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.
- Nursing diploma or degree from an approved program.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification.
- Recent Emergency Department or comparable acute-care nursing experience.
- Experience with IV therapy, venipuncture, ECG/arrhythmia recognition, and emergency interventions.
- Robust assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills in high-acuity settings.
Nice-to-Haves
- ACLS certification.
- CTAS experience/training.
- Trauma/resuscitation experience and TNCC certification (an advantage).
- PALS/ENPC certifications for pediatric emergency care.
Work Conditions
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity trauma and resuscitation setting where adaptability, resilience, and rapid clinical judgment are essential. You will collaborate closely with a tight-knit interprofessional emergency team, managing rapid patient turnover, high-acuity surges, and critical stabilizing care. Shifts span 24/7 coverage (days, nights, weekends, and holidays) in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
