Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and setting the tone for their visit
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and providing menus promptly
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations or inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously,

Requirements

- Proven experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures, including POS systems like Squirrel POS
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous restaurant experience preferred; hotel experience is a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of food service safety standards and hospitality best practices
