Duties
- Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and recommend suitable gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance products
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions and cash handling
- Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and inventory organization
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on Hardware, Sports, Housewares and general knowledge of auto
- Handle cashiering duties accurately while managing customer inquiries in multiple languages if applicable
- Support e-commerce initiatives by assisting customers with online orders or product information
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized,
and inviting by performing routine landscaping or store maintenance tasks as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate stock replenishment and customer service efforts
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- General knowledge of working in a department store atmosphere
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
- Experience in merchandising or visual display setup enhances your ability to create appealing product presentations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Organizational skills to keep the sales floor tidy and stocked effectively
