We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofer Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will support experienced roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems across various projects. Responsibilities
Assist senior roofers with the installation and repair of roofing materials, including shingles, metal panels, and membranes.
Handle and operate hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and utility knives to support roofing tasks efficiently.
Participate in heavy lifting activities to move materials and equipment safely around job sites.
Read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans to understand roofing layouts and specifications.
Support the preparation of work areas by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Assist with caulking and sealing joints or seams to ensure waterproofing integrity.
Help with general handyman tasks related to construction projects, including minor carpentry work when needed.
Skills
Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in construction and roofing tasks.
Previous construction experience or a background in carpentry is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique.
Knowledge of blueprint reading to assist in project setup and execution.
Experience with caulking or sealing techniques to enhance waterproofing quality.
Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Basic handyman skills that can be applied across various aspects of construction projects.
