Route Sales Representative – Vancouver / Lower Mainland
Victoria's Blossom · $24–$26/hour + commission · Mondays & Wednesdays to start, growing to full-time
Grow a route. Grow your pay. Grow into a leadership role.
We're looking for a relationship-driven seller to take over and grow our Vancouver route, with existing customers, room to grow, and a clear path to a well-paid career.
This is more than a sales job. You'll be our eyes and ears in the market: the person who hears what florists need and brings those insights back to help us improve our products and service.
The role starts two days a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, with commission from day one and a guaranteed minimum while you ramp up. As the route grows, so does your role: a written pay plan moves you to more days, then to a salary plus commission, at defined sales milestones.
Where this role can go
We're hiring for the long term. For the right person, this role can grow into a sales lead position as the business expands, including:
- Training and supporting sales reps in our other markets across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan
- Opening new sales channels, such as grocery retail
- Learning and helping build our bouquet distribution business
About us Victoria's Blossom is a wholesale-only flower distributor serving florists across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan since 2017.
What makes us easy to sell:
- Cut to order. Flowers are bought and cut against real orders, so they arrive fresh instead of sitting in a cooler.
- Our own refrigerated trucks. We control the cold chain from our dock to the shop.
- Honest pricing. The price on the list is the price on the invoice, with no box charges, delivery fees,
or fuel surcharges.
- Online ordering. Florists order anytime on our platform, so you spend your time building relationships, not chasing phone orders.
What you'll do
- Deliver orders to florists across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland in a company refrigerated vehicle
- Treat every stop as a sales visit: share the weekly availability, suggest products for upcoming occasions, and grow each account's order
- Reconnect with past customers and open new florist accounts in the territory
- Encourage standing orders and pre-orders
- Listen to customers and bring back their feedback on products, quality, pricing, service, and competitors, so we can keep improving our offer
- Share ideas with our buying, operations, and sales teams to help the company grow
- Resolve customer issues quickly and follow through until they're fixed
Pay and growth path
- Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays to start (approximately 16–20 hours per week)
- Starting pay: $24–$26/hour plus commission
- Guaranteed commission: a minimum of $[200] per week for your first [12] weeks while you build the route
- Commission: paid on sales growth from your first week
- Year-one earnings: typically $25,000–$40,000, depending on route growth and added days
- Written pay ladder: step up to more days,
then salary plus commission, as the route reaches set sales levels
- Long-term potential: $80,000–$100,000+ for reps who build the route to our top sales milestones and grow into a lead role
You're a great fit if you
- Have experience in route sales, direct-store delivery, account management, or wholesale (beverage, food, produce, bakery, or similar)
- Can point to accounts or sales you've grown, with numbers
- Enjoy being on the road and talking with small business owners
- Are a genuine listener who is curious about what customers need, not just what they'll buy today
- Are a team player who likes contributing ideas and helping improve how a company works
- Are organized, reliable, and follow through
- Want to be paid for results and to grow with a company
Nice to have
- Experience selling fresh flowers or plants, whether wholesale, to florists, or in garden centres or grocery floral departments
- Existing relationships with florists or plant retailers in the Lower Mainland
- Knowledge of flower and plant varieties, seasonality, and care
Requirements
- Valid BC driver's licence (Class 5) and a clean driver's abstract
- Able to lift and carry boxes up to [50 lbs] repeatedly
- Available Mondays and Wednesdays, with some flexibility around peak seasons such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day
Apply Tell us in a few lines about an account or territory you grew: where it started, where it ended up, and how you did it. If you've sold flowers or plants before, tell us about that too.
Pay: $46,456.00-$111,897.00 per year
Perks
- On-site parking
