Junior Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Associate

Due to the growth of our business, we have an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience or relevant Engineering experience in a production and manufacturing environment. Product design & manufacturing experience using engineering theory, knowledge and hands-on practice will be an asset.

Reporting to the Engineering manager, the successful applicant will assist in the development & analysis of designs, products, materials, processes, or equipment pertaining to the manufacturing of power transformers.

Key Responsibilities





- Support daily production activities by troubleshooting, collecting, and monitoring data to ensure equipment operation and uptime

- Verifying specifications & maintaining product/process documentation

- Review and analysis of client specifications

- Understanding of CSA, IEEE and ANSI standards with respect to power transformers

- Engineering analysis of forces, stress and strain, electrical clearances, centre of gravity, seismic, vacuum

- Mechanical design activities such as, designing, detailing, analysis

- Create SOP's/Work Instructions for existing, newly designed, or modified products, process, or materials

- Preform lean manufacturing, continuous improvement & 5S initiatives as required

- Assist in inventing & designing various manufacturing tools and assembly fixtures
