WHO ARE YOU

EPFC is a diverse team of professionals with extensive experience and capability in engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and start-up, and operations. Although EPFC was formed in 2016, the company has an established history of successfully delivering projects in oil and gas for almost 20 years. Our clients range from large Tier 1 Oil & Gas organizations to small engineering firms. We can support a variety of clients at any stage of project execution.

We consistently challenge the status quo of traditional project execution methodology and are relentless in our pursuit to unlock opportunity for our clients. Our integrated project delivery model requires collaboration between our engineering, fabrication, construction and operations teams with the objective of delivering turn key facilities which meet our clients’ needs while efficiently eliminating costly rework that often plagues the backend of many projects.

OUR VISION To be the industry’s first choice for project execution by going the extra mile to deliver best client value.

OUR MISSION

We deliver safe, high-quality products that we are proud to stand behind.

ABOUT THE ROLE The Scheduler is responsible for supporting project management through the development, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting of project schedules. This role provides critical schedule and progress information to help project teams understand performance, identify potential impacts, and support informed project decisions.

Key responsibilities include building proposal schedules including schedule basis documents; developing, baselining and progressing integrated project schedules that cover engineering, procurement, vendor deliveries, shop fabrication, construction, commissioning and start-up; tracking progress; preparing earned value and schedule performance reports; and conducting variance, critical path and schedule impact analysis. The Scheduler works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction CSU to ensure schedule information is accurate, current, and aligned with project objectives.

This is a part-time contract engagement, initially 20–30 hours per week, with the potential to grow to full-time (40+ hours) as project workload allows. The Scheduler will typically support several projects concurrently at different stages – from proposal through execution and commissioning – and is expected to be largely self-directed within EPFC’s project controls framework, with the flexibility to scale hours up or down around project peaks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare proposal-stage schedules, schedule basis and duration assumptions to support estimates and Basis of Estimate documents; carry the awarded schedule into the execution baseline at kickoff.
- Establish the schedule WBS and activity coding in line with EPFC’s project controls standards so that schedule, cost and progress data tie together.
- Assess the accuracy and logic of engineering, fabrication, construction and subcontractor schedules,

and challenge durations and sequencing where they are unrealistic.
- Assist in the presentation of scheduling procedures to clients.· Provide technical support and work collaboratively with Project Managers to ensure that the project schedule is maintained to satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain the master schedule for engineering, procurement and vendor deliveries, shop fabrication, construction and commissioning activities, resource-loaded where required.
- Prepare schedule reports for Project Team regarding project activities and produce consolidated progress reports and analysis
- Review and incorporate subcontractor schedules into the project Master Schedule.
- Develop schedules in various formats such as Primavera, Excel and MS project.
- Analyze project progress to develop variance reports that quantify changes from the baseline schedule.
- Perform critical path analysis to determine which deliverables have float and which cannot slip schedule.
- Work with the client to create integrated EPC/client schedules.
- Define progress measurement rules with each discipline and collect, validate and load progress on a regular weekly and monthly cycle.
- Produce two- to four-week look-ahead schedules for fabrication and construction and support field planning and manpower forecasting.
- Assess the schedule impact of changes, delays and relief events and prepare time-impact analyses to support the Project Manager’s change management process.
- Maintain baseline control: document re-baselines, keep a schedule change log, and run recovery and what-if scenarios when the project falls behind.·
- Prepare and issue client schedule and progress reporting at the frequency required by the contract (weekly to monthly), and contribute schedule, progress and earned value content to the project PM log.
- Support the Manager, Projects in developing and maintaining EPFC’s project controls tools, reporting templates, dashboards and scheduling standards for use across all projects.
